This work combines the ancient tradition of the ex-voto with the contemporary pursuit of spiritual well-being. Conceived by Desirèe Delfino and created by the Delfino Ceramiche team, the classic devotional form is reinterpreted, freeing itself from its exclusively religious dimension to become a universal symbol of healing, protection, and inner rebirth.

The profound connection between the ex-voto—historically offered as thanksgiving for a grace received or as an invocation of protection—and amethyst finds its origin in the symbolic qualities attributed to this stone, long associated with calm, purification, and the ability to transform pain into inner strength.

Through careful research conducted by Desirèe Delfino on the effects of decoration and high-fire glazing, the traditional ceramic radiance takes on the crystalline appearance of a geode. The shades of mineral violet thus become a protective shield that embraces and safeguards the vital flame, an expression of the resilience and energy contained within the central heart.

The result is a contemporary ex-voto, dedicated to the soul that passes through fragility, regains its balance, and rediscovers its strength.
